Chaos Child

Ian Watson is an acclaimed science fiction author known for the first novels in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, including the Inquisition War trilogy (Draco, Harlequin, and Chaos Child). A prolific writer, he is also known for his independent sci-fi novels and short stories, and co-wrote the screen story for the film A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
