The Astra Militarum is the largest body of fighting men and women in the galaxy. Drawn from the myriad planets of the Imperium, it is the solemn duty of these grim soldiers to fight the wars of the Immortal Emperor against the many enemies that threaten the very existence of humanity. Mitchel Scanlon

Mitchel Scanlon is a British writer of science fiction novels and comics. He wrote novels for the Warhammer 40,000 franchise, and novels featuring 2000 AD character Judge Anderson. A native of Wales, he began work for the Black Library on scripting the Hellbrandt Grimm comic series that ran in Warhammer Monthly. Since then, he has worked on producing novels for the publishing imprint.

Steve Lyons

Steve Lyons has written over thirty novels - and has also written extensively in other media, including audio/radio plays, talking books, comic strips and short stories. He has ‘worked with’ such popular characters as Doctor Who, the X-Men, Strontium Dog, Sapphire & Steel and the denizens of the Warhammer and Stargate universes - as well as creating his own. He has written non-fiction books about TV shows and films, contributed to many magazines and also worked as a script-editor and proof-reader. He lives in Salford, near Manchester, in the UK.

Steve Parker

Originally hailing from the rainswept land of the Picts, Steve Parker currently resides in Tokyo, Japan. His novels to date include Rebel Winter, Gunheads, Rynn's World, Deathwatch and its first sequel, Deathwatch: Shadowbreaker, plus a gauntlet-covered fistful of short stories and novellas.
